Opera Antigona |
5 May – 17 April 2005 |
The designers M/M (Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak) in March 2005 transformed the entire space of the Frankfurter Kunstverein in an all encompassing installation. For their presentation M/M used various elements from their creative repertoire, reaching back to previous projects from different contexts. Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak have worked together since 1992 as both graphic designers and art directors in mostly fashion, music, and art productions, under the name M/M. They regard every project as a conversation with the respective “client”, and have therefore designed specific installations for the Frankfurter Kunstverein. The exhibition centred on the filmic documentation of an opera stage design. In addition poster sketches, sculptural displays, as well as videos and visualisations for musical icons such as Björk and Robbie Williams were shown. |
